We give away the secrets and sell the implementation, so this is the full build, start to finish, of the LinkedIn system we run for clients: profile, targeting in LinkedIn Sales Navigator, lead lists, saved searches, and the message itself. LinkedIn is not a volume play, because you only get 800 connection requests a month, so every one of them has to go to a decision maker who is genuinely active on the platform. It is for sales teams and founders who want a repeatable daily routine rather than scattered outreach. Once the lists and searches exist, the daily work runs about 15 minutes.
What you will learn
- The three things that decide whether a connection request gets accepted: profile picture, name and headline, plus the headline formula (your real job title at your company, one or two things that identify you professionally, one personal thing) read off two of our own profiles.
- The six lead lists to create once: connection request sent one, two and three, message sent, responded, and follow up. Three request lists because Sales Navigator caps each at 1,000 people.
- The saved search skeleton we use on every list: second and third degree connections, geography, exclude your saved leads, exclude anyone you have already messaged, so you never see the same person twice.
- The posted on LinkedIn in the last 30 days filter, which takes 207 million results down to about three million, plus the habit of leaving it off while you build the list and turning it on at the end.
- Boolean logic in the current job title filter (VP AND sales, vice president AND sales), and the exclusion template we use: marketing, intern, coach, consultant, assistant, student, paired with industry and company headcount.
- The rhythm: 200 connection requests a week, 800 a month, ideally 50 a day, and since LinkedIn shows 25 people per page, that is two pages a day. All requests go out blank, because generic notes attached to requests have trained people to ignore them.
- The four line message: an opener that is not hi or hey plus a first name, a problem oriented second sentence that names the problem rather than your service, a half sentence value proposition, and a permission based call to action, with the exact version we send and the 30% plus response rate behind it.
If you want this built once and run every day without it sliding to the bottom of a rep's list, book a call and we will walk through it on your target market.
